Spartan Path (the “App”) is a personal-discipline app that helps you reduce screen time and build habits. This policy explains what information the App handles and how. The App is operated by Ross Hansen, an individual developer based in Johannesburg, South Africa (“we”, “us”).
In short: the App does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email, and stores your activity on your own device. We do not sell your data or use advertising or tracking SDKs.
Your progress, levels, screen-time entries, streaks, achievements, warrior name, and Field Log reflections are stored locally on your device using the operating system’s standard app storage. This information stays on your phone, is not transmitted to us, and is removed if you delete the App or use the in-app reset option.
When you submit a Field Log entry, the text you wrote is sent securely (over HTTPS) to our server for the sole purpose of generating an automated written response (the in-app “Commander” review) and a fairness check on the entry. To produce that response, the text is processed by our AI provider, Anthropic. We do not store your Field Log text on our server after the response is returned, and we do not use it to identify you. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in Field Log entries.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat, which we use to validate purchases and restore subscriptions across your devices. For this purpose, RevenueCat and Apple process purchase records, a randomly generated anonymous app-user identifier, and basic device information. We never receive or store your payment card details — those are handled entirely by Apple. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your device’s Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because your activity is stored on your device, you control it: you can clear it at any time using the in-app reset option, or by deleting the App. To stop sending Field Log text for review, simply stop submitting Field Log entries.
Data sent for Field Log review is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the App.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
